NORTH SIOUX CITY -- Kelly C. Moriston, 47, of North Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at his residence.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, 5206 Military Road. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Kelly was born May 17, 1961, in Sioux City, to Charles and Esther (Marsell) Moriston. He grew up and attended school in McCook Lake and Jefferson, S.D. He was a life long resident of the North Sioux City area.
He married Debra Fritz on Dec. 12, 1981, in Sioux City. He was employed with several different firms throughout the Siouxland area.
Some activities that he enjoyed doing included hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, time with family and his grandchild, his pet dogs and putting models together.
Survivors include his three children, Nick Moriston of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Nathan Moriston and Jerika Dirks of Sioux City and Heather Moriston of Sioux City; a grandson, Ryan Moriston of Sioux City; his parents of McCook Lake, S.D.; brother, Michael Moriston of Sturgis, S.D.; three sisters, Vickie and David Tilden of Des Moines, Mona and Matt Brice of Chatsworth, Iowa, and Jodi and Ron Brown of Bettendorf, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and two aunts, Emily Fender and Doris and Lee Martinez, all of McCook Lake.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister in infancy.
