Kenneth Bailey
NORTH SIOUX CITY -- Kenneth Bailey, 74, of North Sioux City passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Prairie Estates Care Center in Elk Point, S.D.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Christy-Smith Berkemier Chapel in Riverside, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. There will be no visitation.
Kenneth was born on May 16, 1933, in Onway, Idaho, the son of Lloyd and Florence (Meeks) Bailey. He was raised in Idaho. Kenneth was a truck driver for many years.
Following his marriage to Lois Hudgens Warren on Feb. 26, 1968, the couple traveled around the U.S. for many years. Moving to the Sioux City area over 20 years ago, he became the business agent for the local Teamsters Union 554.
Kenneth was a member of Abu Bekr Shrine and the Rat Patrol. He and his wife loved to travel and spent many days on the road together.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; seven children, Keith (Sue) Bailey of Priest River, Idaho, Gary (Debbie) Bailey of Uniontown, Ohio, Linda (Ron) Wurglay-Bailey of Santa Maria, Calif., Deana (Paul) Carnas of Sioux City, Brian (Peg) Bailey of Kuma, Idaho, Jim Warren of McCook Lake, S.D. and Scott Bailey of California; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Noble of Spokane, Wash., Phyllis (Don) Batten of Olympia, Wash. and Margaret Lincoln of Deer Park, Wash.; two brothers, Don (Mary) Bailey and Ed Bailey, all of Spokane, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, William Noble and Royal Lincoln.
