Kenneth Albert Cain

Kenneth A. Cain, 76, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Beatrice Cemetery, Beatrice, Neb. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Ken was born on Oct. 24, 1938, in Dakota City, the son of Myrvin and Loretta (Raab) Cain. He lived with his family in Salix, Iowa, before moving to Sioux City, where he attended school and graduated from Central High School. He continued his education and received banking classes in Colorado.
Ken married Patricia Baird on May 29, 1958. They made their home in Sioux City until moving to Beatrice in 1966. They lived in Beatrice for 15 years, then moved to White Bear Lake, Minn. They then moved to Vermillion, S.D., before returning to Sioux City in 1997. Ken was in banking for more than 40 years. He started as a messenger and worked his way through the ranks to bank president. He was presently employed by Cards-N-Such for the past 17 years.
Ken was a big fan of Husker football. He also enjoyed traveling around the country. Ken loved to visit with people about anything they wanted to talk about and liked to share his opinion.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Cain of Sioux City; two daughters, Kathy (Chuck) Nastrom of St. Paul, Minn., and Vicki Cain of Derby, Conn.; two stepgrandchildren, Jessica McNeal and Jacob Nastrom; a sister, Jeannette McNaughton of Vermillion; and a brother, Bernie (Janice) Cain of South Sioux City.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Vern Cain.
