SIOUX CITY -- Kenneth J. Moore, 87, of Sioux City peacefully passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at 10 a.m. Friday at the home of Robert and Betty Bowers. Arrangements are under the direction of Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.
Kenneth was born on Oct. 27, 1924, in Huron, S.D. He proudly served his country as a staff sergeant during World War II.
Ken married Yvonne Petersen. They were married for more than 66 years.
Ken was an avid golfer who in his lifetime achieved an amazing 17 holes in one.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Moore; a daughter, Bobbette Healy; a son, Terry Moore; five grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
