Kevin Michael Engeldinger, 19, of Sioux City died Sunday, April 20, 2008, at his residence.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Church of Christ, with the Rev. Matthew Wentz officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to

Kevin was born April 17, 1989, in Sioux City, to Larry J. and Karen E. (Lieber) Engeldinger. He grew up attending Sioux City Public Schools and was an honor student. He graduated from East High School in May 2007. He was employed with L&L Services in Jackson, Neb., as a construction foreman. He was about to start his apprenticeship in the Local IBEW 231 to become an electrician.
He loved the outdoors, his hobbies included riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, cars, hunting, fishing, golfing, water skiing, camping, snow boarding, many of which he enjoyed with family and friends. He loved animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed listening to music, He also loved to help his friends anytime and anyway that he could.
Survivors include his mother, Karen Engeldinger of Sioux City; his father, Lawrence J. "Larry" Engeldinger of Sioux City; a sister, Lisa Engeldinger and her fiance, Matt Pottorff of Sioux City; grandparents, Harlan and Darlene Engeldinger of Sioux City and Herman and Eleanor Lieber of Jackson, Neb.; six uncles and their wives, Mike and Lisa Engeldinger of Santa Fe, N.M., Greg and Sandra Engeldinger of Southlake, Texas, David Engeldinger of Jefferson, S.D., Rich and Roni Engeldinger of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Harlan and Robyn Lieber of Jackson and Dean and Kelly Lieber of Jackson; and an aunt and her husband, Theresa and Matt Brockhaus of Jackson.
