SIOUX CITY | Kevin D. Kuester, 41, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at a local hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Kevin was born Feb. 19, 1971 in Sioux City, to Marvin and Dorothy (Groves) Kuester. He grew up and attended Sioux City schools and remained a lifelong resident of Sioux City. He was formerly employed with Tur-Pak and Rocket Auto Wash, both here in Sioux City.
Kevin enjoyed playing guitar with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards, fishing, his dogs and spending time with and playing jokes on family and friends.
Survivors include his son, Trevor Kolker of Sioux City; his mother, Dorothy Kuester of Sioux City; his siblings, Debra Boisen of South Sioux City, Terri and Dave Owings of Sioux City, Myron and Darlene Kuester of Bronson, Iowa, Jeff and Kelly Kuester of Sioux City, Rhonda and Mickey Howley of Sioux City, David Tighe of Sioux Falls, S.D., Mike and Stephanie Kuester of Sioux City, and Jody and Brad Christiansen of Sioux City; one grandson; 25 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother-in-law, Daniel Boisen; grandparents; and two nephews, Colby Owings and Brandon Kuester.
