BRONSON, Iowa -- Kevin Ray Kuiper, 26, of Bronson died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:30 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Kevin was born March 4, 1985, in Sioux City, to Ronald and Conley (Leesley) Kuiper. He attended Sioux City schools and graduated from East High School in 2005. He had been a lifelong resident of Sioux City.
Kevin was employed with Den Hartog as a metal fabricator and later worked for Alorica. His greatest love was being a self-taught mechanic.
He will be missed by his family and close friends. He will be remembered as being a loyal and generous individual. He enjoyed music, family, playing pool and video games. He was a devoted uncle and wanted to take care of his mother.
Survivors include his mother, Conley Kuiper of Bronson; three sisters, Vickey Barnes of Sioux City, Nancy and Mike Lunda of Sergeant Bluff, and Teri Plautz and Verlyn Schuldt of Sioux City; his maternal grandma, Gladys Crawford of Sloan, Iowa; 10 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; a brother, Danny Kuiper; a sister, Bobbi Lynn Plautz; and a brother-in-law, Randel Barnes.
