SIOUX CITY -- Kevin Niles Rohmiller, 26, Sioux City died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital from complications of a heart condition.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church. The Rev. Lawrence McCarty will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Kevin was born on May 20, 1983, in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Gary M. and Pearl A. (Boyle) Rohmiller. He came to Sioux City at the age of 5. He attended Blessed Sacrament School, Hoover Jr. High and St. Michael School, and graduated from North High School in 2002. During high school, he worked at Fareway grocery store. After high school, he worked at auto body shops in Sioux City.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.He wrestled for the Sioux City Saints and he enjoyed playing basketball and softball. He enjoyed working with his parents at the Soup Kitchen and at the S.Y.A. ball fields. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Railee Alexis; his parents, Gary and Pearl Rohmiller of Collins, Iowa; his brothers and their wives, Gerald and Crystal of Ft. Bragg, N.C., Nicholas and Rebecca of Des Moines, Marlin and Dena of Webster City, Iowa; his sisters, Crystal Rohmiller and her special friend, Anthony Josta of Sioux City, Tricia Rohmiller of Sioux City; his nieces and nephews, Jonathon and Josh, Taylor, Zach, Elizabeth, Jonathon, Ryan, Nora Jean, Luke, Jacob and Caroline; paternal grandmother, Virginia Rohmiller; and his special friend, Rebecca White.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Jr.; a sister, Bridget; maternal grandparents, James and Rosalie Boyle; and his paternal grandfather, Gerald Rohmiller.
