MOVILLE, Iowa -- Laura Ann Marhenke Martin, 44, of Moville died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Indian Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Sioux City.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville.
Laura was born Nov. 16, 1964, at Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Elizabeth Marhenke. At the age of three, she came to Moville to live with her family, Roy and Lois Martin. Laura attended school in Moville, Climbing Hill, Iowa, and graduated from East High School. She helped Lois with day care.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville. Laura enjoyed bingo, puzzles, playing cards, watching TV, reading and latch craft.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Lois and Harold Kloewer of Moville; a sister, Lea Luck of Bloomington, Neb.; four brothers, Irv and Kelly Martin of Moville, Matt and Tami Martin of Logan, Iowa, Doug Martin of Le Mars, Iowa, and Jon and Maria Martin of Omaha; six nieces and nephews; and two uncles, Bob and Val Marhenke of Lincoln, Neb., and Carl and Irene Marhenke of Tekamah, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Marhenke; her Moville father, Roy Martin; and her grandparents.
