LaVerle R. "Lee" Marks

Sioux City - LaVerle "Lee" R. Marks, 87, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at a local care facility.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rodger Prois officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Lee was born on Oct. 13, 1925 to John and Elsie (Fornish) Marks. He grew up and attended country school in Cedar County, Neb. Lee drove over-the-road truck for Heyl Trucking of Akron, Iowa.
He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Sioux City; two children, Doug Marks of Webster City, Iowa, and Vicki Marks of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Deloris Giese
