LaVonne Wriedt

Lavonne Rose Wriedt, 70, of Elk Point, formerly of Vermillion, S.D., passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Prairie Estates Nursing Home in Elk Point.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City. Interment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Lavonne was born on Nov. 7, 1946, in Sioux City, to Lester and LuVerne (Wallwey) Wriedt. Lavonne lived at SESDAC in Vermillion for more than 12 years and had many great friends there.
Lavonne enjoyed singing, listening to music, attending sporting events and watching Lawrence Welk. She also enjoyed writing letters to her family and spending time with them, especially her nieces and nephews.
Those left to honor her memory include her brothers, LaVoy (Judy) Wriedt of Jefferson, S.D., and Louis (Mary) Wriedt of Richardson, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
