SIOUX CITY -- Layla Ann Keairns-McDonald, 1-day old daughter of Ann M. Keairns and Shawn A. McDonald of Sioux City, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Craig Collison officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
Layla was born Aug. 3, 2009, in Sioux City.
She is survived by her parents; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Amy Keairns of Sioux City and Tracy Keairns of Denver, Colo.; paternal grandparents, Kevin and Debra McDonald of Sioux City; and aunts and uncles, Seth McDonald, Alison, Hattie and Benjamin Keairns, all of Sioux City.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that family and friends bring teddy bears that can be donated to St. Luke's Neo-Natal and Children's units in Layla's name.
