SIOUX CITY -- LeRoy R. Kamm, 85, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, 2320 Outer Drive, with Pastor James Travis of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to

LeRoy Robert Kamm was born on Feb. 9, 1925, in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, to Andrew and Irene (Schopke) Kamm. He attended school in Waterbury, Neb. LeRoy served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947.
On March 22, 1953, LeRoy and Darlene M. Altmanshofer were married in Sioux City at Morningside Presbyterian Church. LeRoy worked for 27 years as a machinist for Sioux Tools. He also played in a band, Rhythm Ramblers, at the Eagles and Scandinavian Club. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, fishing and woodworking.
LeRoy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlene; daughters, Debbie Rosauer of Sioux City, and Judy and husband, Mark Duncan of Treynor, Iowa; son, Douglas and wife, Brenda Kamm of Sioux City; daughter, Sharon and husband, Tim Gill of Dakota City; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Everette and Alvern; a sister in infancy; and a son-in-law, Joseph Rosauer.
