LeRoy O. “Lee” Buechler, 59, Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May, 18, 2011 at a Sioux City Hospital.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30am Monday, May 23, 2011 in the Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday in the Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
LeRoy was born on November 12, 1951 in Sioux City, the son of Roy and Emma (Rosenbaum) Buechler. He was a lifelong Sioux City resident; he graduated from East High School in 1970. He married Debbie McHenry on August 30, 1974 in Sioux City. LeRoy worked for Chesterman Company for 40 years. He loved to fish, hunt, bowl, playing pool, darts and playing with grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie, one daughter and her husband, Kristie and Chris Foreman of Le Mars, IA. Two sons, Johnny and his wife Linda, Joe Buechler and his girlfriend Kim Larson all of Sioux City, Two sisters and their husbands, Fran and Don Winkel, Alice and Ken Crandall. One brother, John & Shirley Coates, seven grandchildren, James, Cheyenne, Briana, Jonathan, Michael, Elizabeth and Leann. Nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Florence Gorley, Nephews Randy Gorley and Robbie Wilson and a great nephew, Alex Kluver.
