Leslie A. “Bill” Rasmussen Jr., 86, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Bickford Cottage in Sioux City, IA.

A visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Larkin Chapel, 2320 Outer Drive N., with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Friday, January 14, 2022, at Holy Cross Parish – St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Leslie “Bill” Rasmussen Jr., the son of Leslie Sr. and Shirley “Babe” (Otis) Rasmussen was born August 4, 1935, in Sioux City, IA. He graduated from Leeds High School in 1953.

On July 27, 1968, Bill was united in marriage with Constance Richou in South Sioux City, NE. He was employed in the family business at Midwest Products, Inc. in Leeds for many years. Later in life, Bill worked for CounterTop Fabricators with his son-in-law, Stuart Cloud, for 15 years.

Bill was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Posse. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and extended family. Bill enjoyed playing golf, taking lots of pictures, doing puzzles, and he took great pride in his yardwork.

Bill is survived by his wife, Constance of Sioux City; children, Suzanne (Stuart) Cloud of Sioux City, Julie (Jerry) Norman of Moville, IA, Thad (Tara) Morse of Dakota Dunes, SD, Tracie (David) Bernhard of Brandon, SD; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim (Cheryl) Rasmussen of Venice, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Mark Rasmussen and Brian Rasmussen; and two grandchildren, Randy Rasmussen and Kathrine Cloud.
