Lewis LeRoy Wilmot

Lewis L. Wilmot, 75, of Sioux City died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Wolff will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. , at the funeral home.
Lewis was born on June 5, 1939 , in Sioux City , the son of Wallace and Phyllis (Hahn) Wilmot. He was a lifelong resident of Sioux City .
On Sept. 23, 1961 , he married Karen Johme in Sioux City . Lewis was in sales and management in Sioux City for many years. He also owned and operated Lous’ Midway Inn. He later worked for Condon Motors. Karen passed away on Jan. 1, 2014 in Sioux City .
Lewis enjoyed singing, hunting, fishing and especially golfing. Most importantly, he enjoyed making people smile.
He is survived by his daughter, Kellie Wilmot of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Jacie and Brandon Throckmorton, Sterling Tronson, Kelcie Tronson and her fiance, Adam Bowles, and Zachery Tronson; five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Braelynn, Kadyn, Brooklynn and Sharlette; and his brother, Richard Wilmot of Jacksonville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Donnie Wilmot; a nephew, Randy Wilmot; and two sister-in-laws, Ella Johme and Jackie Wilmot.
