Lillian Melvina Dexter, 89, of Moville died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Touchstone Living Center in Sioux City.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christy Smith Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1924, in Bristow, Neb., to Marion and Lena (Albright) Pritchett. Lillian graduated from Anthon (Iowa) High School in 1943. She continued her education at Westmar University.
She married Robert Dexter on Feb. 22, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1980.
Lillian taught at country schools in Plymouth and Woodbury counties from 1943 to 1949. She then worked in the secretarial field and was a waitress.
Survivors include her sisters, Mildred Pritchett and Rayma Pritchett; and nieces, Patricia (Melvin) Chaffin of Fort Smith, Ark., and Deronda (James) Davis, of Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Leslie Pritchett.
