SIOUX CITY -- Linda Kay (Severeide) Becker, 65, of Sioux City died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City.
Linda was born Jan. 12, 1945, in Sioux City, the daughter of Donald and Norma (Harris) Severeide. She attended Sioux City Public Schools.
She married Raymond Becker on June 19, 1965. They made their home in Chicago before returning to Sioux City in 1970.
She was a member of the River City Anglers. She enjoyed fishing and camping. She also was an animal lover and enjoyed going to zoos and watching animal shows on the television.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Becker of Sioux City; her mother, Norma Severeide of Sioux City; a sister, Diane and Vince Cox of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Lenore Lupo of Sioux City; nieces and nephews, Scott and Ivy Towler, Lisa and Jerry Peterson, Rob and Katie Towler, Joseph and Heidi and Tina and Mark Cobb; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Severeide.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Linda's name to the Siouxland Humane Society.
