SIOUX CITY -- Linda Sue Frye, 64, of Sioux City died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, 5206 Military Road, in Sioux City. The Rev. Johnny Helton will officiate. Burial will be in McCook Cemetery, North Sioux City. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to

Linda was born Aug. 17, 1947, in Sioux City, to Gerald K. and Darlene L. (Lamson) Cain. She grew up and attended South Sioux City schools.
Linda married Larry Frye on Aug. 19, 1963, in Elk Point, S.D. Larry died on March 21, 1998. She worked for Palmer Candy Company for 26 years, 21 of those as a supervisor. She also worked at Dakota Rose Casino for the last 14 years.
When Linda was working, her hobbies included fishing, playing bingo, crocheting and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Shawn and David Henry of Sioux City, Jody Honeycutt and special friend, John Bunning Jr. of Sioux City, Brandy Cain of Sioux City, and Ashley Frye and her fiance, Joshua Kessel of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, DJ, Nikki, Auston, Natasha, Andrew, Samantha, and Jared; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Cain of Sioux City; a sister, Carol Grant of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry; an infant daughter, Darlene Frye; an infant son, Rodney Frye; a special friend, Buck Jones of North Sioux City who passed away shortly after Linda.
