Linda M. Rusk, 72, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Sunrise Retirement Community.

Linda was born on July 20, 1944, in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Bob and Julia Patrick. She graduated from Aurelia High School, in Cherokee County, Iowa, in 1962.
She was married to Darrell White and to that union, they had three sons. She later married Garie Rusk on June 10, 1995 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2016.
Linda was a stay at home mom, but also worked several secretarial jobs. In 1991, she started working at Great West Casualty Company in South Sioux City, in the MRO Claims Support Services as a claims file.mail clerk until she retired on Sept. 1, 2006.
Linda was a loving and nurturing wife and mother. After Linda retired, she spent a lot of her time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking trips with Garie to Minneapolis to watch the Minnesota Twins play baseball, Chicago to visit her son, Rich, and a couple of trips to Branson, Mo. She also got to enjoy a trip to Paris and Hawaii.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons, James White of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Robert (Jennifer) White of Urbandale, Iowa; five grandchildren; and her mother-in-law, Betty Rusk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Julia Patrick; her brother, Larry Patrick; her husband, Garie Rusk; and her son, Richard White.
