SIOUX CITY | Link Eberly, 62, of Sioux City passed away Monday May 14, 2012, at Countryside Nursing Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, Iowa. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Link was born on Jan. 4, 1950, in Sioux City, to Lawrence and Lucille (Junck) Eberly. He graduated from Lawton-Bronson High School in 1968. He helped his father at Eberly Contracting. He attended community college in Estherville, Iowa, before attending Western Iowa Tech Community College and graduating with a degree in mechanics. He was employed as a mechanic at Ford.
Link enjoyed music of all kinds, reading, and sports, both participating in and watching them. He was very handy and mechanically inclined and enjoyed helping others by fixing things for them. He was baptized and a confirmed member of Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton. Link will be greatly missed by many friends and his family.
Survivors include his mother, Lucille Eberly; a sister, Dianne and Lloyd Parks; a nephew, Jason and Lora Parks; and a grandniece, Ella Parks.
He was preceded in death by his father; and special friend, Deborah Burge.
