Lisa Jean Gaffey, 60 of Sioux City, Iowa died on Monday, May 6, 2019, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's in Sioux City, Iowa after a lengthy illness.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel located at 1801 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa 51106, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, Iowa.

Lisa was born September 23, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Myrtle (Larson) Moriston. She grew up in the Riverside area and attended Sioux City Public Schools. Lisa worked for several area convenience stores and also as a dietician at the Abbey in Le Mars, IA.
Lisa led a very active life with her friends, children and grandchildren, she was always on the go. Her hobbies included gardening, butterflies and her hand made jewelry which she called "her beading".
Surviving are her significant other Stan Brouwer; her children, Amy (Tracy) Sands of Indianola, IA, Adam Nelson of Sioux City, IA, Austin Gaffey of Seattle, WA, and Ashley Gray (Don Williams) of Merrill, IA; eight grandchildren, Cody Nelson, Jade Gaffey, Kurtis Schulte, Abigail Nelson, Taylor Gray, Trenton Gray, Tara Gray and a stepgrandson, Jake Williams; three sisters, Donna (Ronnie) Mattix of Altoona, IA, Karen (Bob) Comstock of Sioux City, IA, and Wanda (Jeff) Miller of Le Mars, IA.; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother; Alfred Moriston.
