Lois E. Dula, 80, of Sioux City died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to

Lois was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Sioux City, the daughter of William Russell and Zelba (Moore) Burrell. She lived her entire life in Sioux City. She attended Sioux City public schools.
She married Gene W. Dula on Sept. 20, 1960, in Sioux City. They later divorced. She worked for Toy Bank for many years and then stayed home and raised her family. She returned to work in the transit department at Security National Bank for over 20 years, until she retired in the mid-1980s.
Lois enjoyed music, playing the piano and ukulele, traveling, fishing and spending time with family and grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, LeeAnn (Dan) Gates of Sioux City; a son, Thomas Dula of Sioux City; two grandsons, Drew and Brody; and a niece, Lynn (John) Rasmussen and their family, who reside in American Samoa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lelia Forbes.
