SIOUX CITY -- Lois L. Hendrickson, 81, of Sioux City passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.

Lois Lorraine Fertig was born on Nov. 4, 1928, in Hills, Minn., to Francis and Gladys (Sayre) Fertig. She attended and graduated from Storm Lake High School. After high school she attended beauty school.
Lois and John Albert Hendrickson were married on Nov. 14, 1951, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They made their home in Sioux City. She worked as a nurses aide for several nursing homes in Sioux City, retiring from Indian Hills Care Center.
She was a member of the Sioux City Elks.
She is survived by a son, Richard Hendrickson of Sioux City; daughters, Gloria and husband, John Pepple of Sioux City, and Jean Mesner of Cottage Grove, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, George and wife, Rita Fertig of Kimberling City, Mo.; sisters, Mary Ellen Cisneros of San Bernardino, Calif., and Ada and husband, Marlin Koth of Gilroy, Calif. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends also survive Lois.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1980; and a brother, John.
