Lois Wilkerson, age 93, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at Bavarian Meadows in Remsen, IA.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel located at 1801 Morningside Ave. in Sioux City, with a Parish Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Mater Dei Parish, Church of the Nativity. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lois Mae Mouser, the daughter of Horace and Ruby (Gunning) Mouser was born May 1, 1928, in Primghar, IA. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Granville, IA. She went on to study at the National Business Training School in Sioux City. She worked as an office assistant at Iowa Better Trucking and as a bookkeeper at Bekins in Sioux City.
On September 29, 1950 Lois was united in marriage to Gordon Wilkerson in Sioux City.
Lois was a member at Mater Dei Parish, Church of the Nativity. She also was a member of Ladies Guild, Catholic Daughters, Confraternity of Christian Mothers, where she served as Treasurer. She assisted at the church with funeral luncheons, and she was a Bargain Center volunteer. Lois was known to be very generous with a loving heart.
Survivors include her brothers, Tom (Gisela) Mouser of North Chesterfield, Virginia, James Mouser of Dallas Center, IA, Ron (Julia) Mouser of Polk City, FL; sister-in-law, Madeline Mouser of Ware, MA; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordan; sisters, Maxine (Ron) Jarman, Bernice (Stanley) Votruba, Elizabeth Jean Moos, Ruth Hoffman; brothers, Harold (Luella) Mouser, Marion Mouser, Norman Mouser.
