Bronson, Iowa - Loretta A. "Peggy" Main, 84, of Bronson died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moville, Iowa. The Rev. Mark Stoll will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Peggy was born on Jan. 21, 1929, in Urbana, Ill., the daughter of Albert and Anna (Meyer) Webb. She graduated from high school in Tolono, Ill.
She married James Arthur Main in November 1947. They lived on a farm in Storm Lake, Iowa, and then moved to Bronson in 1954. James died on July 2, 1970.
Peggy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moville. She loved playing cards, gardening and watching television especially the Wheel of Fortune.
She is survived by nine children, Dan (Jeanie) Main, Mike (Deb) Main, John (Lisa) Main, Pat (Gena) Main, Char (Doug) Rose, Tim Main, Lorri (Jeff) Persinger, Gail (Bruce) Anderson, and Walt (Debbie) Main; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Corrine Woodcock, and Shelia Kay Deater; and a brother, Richard Webb.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, JoAnn Woodworth, and Alvera Palmer; and two brothers, E.J. Webb, and Ronnie Webb.
