Sioux City�" Lorna Ann Stodden, 75, of Sioux City died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at her residence.
Private family services and burial of the cremains will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Lorna was born Oct. 18, 1933, in Moville, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Bertha (Warriner) Spencer. She attended school and graduated from Kingsley (Iowa) High School in 1951.
She married Robert Jenness on Sept. 1, 1951. They were later divorced. She married Leonard Stodden on Nov. 7, 1959. They made their home in Sioux City. Leonard died April 6, 1999.
She enjoyed reading, art (especially drawing), listening to music, playing the accordion and piano and reading and writing poetry.
She is survived by four sons and their families, Brian and Patty Jenness of Sauk Rapids, Minn., and Justin, Aaron and Brooke, Randy and Chris Jenness of Omaha and Angie, Blake and Taylor, Mike and Cindy Stodden of Omaha and Leah, Megan and Lindsay, and Tim and Sabrina Stodden of Sioux City and Allison and Sam; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Stodden; a sister Nelda Robinson; and a brother, LeClair Spencer.
