Lorraine Eva Lundy, 76, of Sioux City succumbed peacefully to cancer Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Hallmark Nursing Home in Sioux City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Dan Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to

Lorraine was born in West Union, Iowa, in 1931. She moved to Sioux City when she was 12. She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1950. She spent nearly all the rest of her life in Sioux City. She worked at Metz Bakery.
She enjoyed playing basketball and bowling.
She is survived by three daughters, Sue (Walter John Jr.) Martius, Nancy (Anthony) Staab and Kim Lundy; 14 grandchildren, Heather (Joel), Jamie (Jeremy), Walter John III, Jaclynn (Brian), Dustin (Chanda), Scott (Sarah), Jeremy, Ben, Jerome, Audrey, Keegan, Benjamin, Matthew and Joey; and eight great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Felicity, Walter John IV, Carole Ann, Montana, Kadyn, Tyler and Tiki.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Ethel Hanson; her biological parents, Clarence and Hazel Hanson; and a grandson, Kenneth Staab.
Lorraine was a caring person who loved life and she will be sorely missed.
