Sioux City - Lorraine Evelyn Vanderlinden, 93, of Sioux City passed away May 16, 2013, at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Lorraine was born on Aug. 19, 1919, in Center, Neb., to Arthur and Lena (Nansen) Sigler. She married Leonard Vanderlinden on Jan. 21, 1936, in Elk Point, S.D. She was employed at Wincharger and Sunkist Bakery.
She enjoyed crafts, cooking, gardening, being a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoyed spending summers on Angler's Bay in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
Survivors include her sons, Ken and Dee Vanderlinden and Gary and Roberta Vanderlinden; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Kobes, Ruth Kobes and Betty Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; half sisters, Donna Daniel of Carrolton, Texas, Caroline Burrows of Rogers, Ark., Marilyn Smythia of Miller, Mo., and Glenda Perryman of Las Vegas, Nev.; half brother, Chuck Sigler of Florrisant, Mo.; and stepbrother, Dick Peck of Emma, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Leonard Sigler; half sister, Marlene Mustain; and stepmother, Gladys Butler.
