Lorrettia Faye Tedford, age 81, of Sioux City died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her residence

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 30, 2021 at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Larkin Chapel, 2320 Outer Drive North, with inurnment following in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service.

Lorrettia was born on March 2, 1940 in Watonga, Oklahoma, the daughter of David W. and Mary E (Woodrain) Lumley. She was united in marriage with Earl Dean Tedford on October 22, 1959. Mr. Tedford preceded her in death on September 19, 2003.

She came to Sioux City in 1976 from Burbank, California and worked for many years on the Wizzer Line at John Morrell until the plant closing. She then worked at the Argosy Casino in housekeeping until retirement. She loved horses and raising chickens at her mini-farm. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, John Wayne movies, country music, and cherished the time she could spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, David (Sharon) Tedford; two grandchildren, Jennifer Brewer( Jonathan) and Michael Tedford (Nicole); and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one son.
