MOVILLE, Iowa -- Lucile M. Warner, 92, of Moville passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Moville.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Mark J. Stoll officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a parish vigil at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville. Lucile was born on June 10, 1918, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Theodore and Margaret (Burns) Mitchell. She grew up and attended school in El Paso, graduating from the Loretto Academy and later, the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing.
She was united in marriage to Delbert P. Warner on April 15, 1944, in San Angelo, Texas. The couple moved to Nebraska, where Delbert was discharged after World War II. In 1948, they moved to a farm near Climbing Hill, Iowa, and in 1966, they moved into Moville.
Lucile was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In years past, she was a lector and a member of the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Warner of Peoria, Ill., and Mary C. Warner of Moville; a son, Mike and his wife, Peggy Warner of Cedaredge, Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Bev Warner of Cleveland, Texas; four grandchildren, John C. Warner and his wife, Charlei, Patty E. Warner, John W. Warner and his wife, Stacey, and Mark R. Warner; six great-grandchildren, Chris, Cody, Cade, Matthew, Ashley and Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert P. Warner; and a son, Gerald Warner.
