Lucille Kersting

Lucille "Lucy" Kersting, 78, passed away May 9, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. In her final years, she was lovingly cared for by the superheroes of Pioneer Valley Living & Rehab and Hospice of Siouxland.

Per her family's wishes, cremation will take place at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes with Celebration of Life services to take place at a later date.

Lucy was a kind and gentle lady who deeply loved her family and friends and God. Her grandchildren were her most precious treasure and she was so proud to celebrate their accomplishments, both big and small. But most of all she just delighted in their presence. Lucy was a light in so many lives - hugs, laughter, compliments, advice, and her undivided attention were always freely given. Her light and love and presence will remain in our hearts.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Siouxland and Pioneer Valley Living & Rehab, Sergeant Bluff, IA.
