Lucille A. Reimenschneider, 92, former Sioux City resident, passed away to be with her Heavenly Father on April 27, 2008, in Lexington, Ky., following a brief illness.
Memorial services will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lexington, where she was a charter member, with the Rev. Lohn Johnson officiating.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Kingsley Cemetery at Kingsley, Iowa, with the Rev. David Zirpel of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Sioux City officiating, where she will be buried beside her parents. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. today at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.
Lucille was born on May 10, 1915, in Worthington, Minn., to Mathew and Pearl Rimmer. She grew up in Iowa, and graduated from Grand Meadow High School. She moved to Winston-Salem, N.C., and graduated from the Winston-Salem Business School. After working for several years, she retired in 1980, and resided in Lexington, Ky.
Survivors include two daughters, LaCrete Richardson of Sioux City, and Lonna Taylor of Lexington; a son, Don (Jolene) Riemenschneider of Kingsley; five grandchildren, Kerry (Michelle) Richardson of Arlington, Texas, Derek (Lisa) Richardson of Sioux City, Marlo McIntyre of Lexington, Nick (Karen) Riemenschneider of Kodak, Tenn., and Steve (Tanya) Riemenschneider of Kingsley; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Meister of Le Mars, Iowa, and Audrey (Arlo) Grubb of Kingsley; a brother, Kenneth (Hope) Rimmer of Spirit Lake, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Arthur (Maroldean) Grabe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; a sister, LaDona Grabe; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Meister and Arvin Grubb; and a son-in-law, Kent Richardson.
