Lucille C. Zandstra

November 20, 1912 — January 5, 2017

Lucille C. Zandstra, 104, of Wakefield, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at Wakefield Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Liz Tucker officiating. Inurnment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.
Lucille was born Nov. 20, 1912, in Tripp, S.D., to Roy and Tillie (Deurmeier) Reed. Lucille graduated from Central High School and married Harry Zandstra on March 18, 1937. She was the administrative assistant for the Riverside School system for 29 years.
Lucille was a member of Riverside Methodist Church and was also their organist for over 40 years. She was a lifelong volunteer for many organizations in the Siouxland area.
Survivors include a sister, Goldie Frank of Sioux City; grandchildren, Lori (Roger) Lueth of Wakefield, and Kendall (Rita) Paulsen of Phoenix, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Barbara Jean Paulsen; one sister; and six brothers.
