Man Thi Phan was born to eternal life on June 19, 2020 after battling 48 days with COVID-19 at Avera Medical in Sioux Falls, SD.
She was born on February 22, 1950 in Saigon and immigrated to the U.S. in November 1990. She was the beloved wife to a former CIA Development Specialist, Kevin Vo of 50 years and greatest mother of Leanne (Liem Nguyen), Steven (Mai Nguyen), Diane (Son Dinh). She was also a very proud grandmother of Brian and Brandon Nguyen, Haley and Katie Vo, and Hai and Nam Dinh.
After completing school in Saigon, she worked for the Republic of Vietnam government before meeting her husband. Then, after emigrating from Vietnam, she worked at Tyson for 29 years. She had a knack for cooking and spent her free time gardening.
She is also survived by her sisters, Ben and Ngot; brother, Xuan; sister-in-law; nieces; and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hanh Phan; her mother, Mui Dang; and her brother, Duc; and brother-in-law, Kiem Le.
She devoted her life to love, protect, comfort, and sacrifice; not only to her own family but also to all her siblings. Her fondest memories will never fade and will always remind her children of incredible fortune to call her Má.
