SIOUX CITY -- Margaret Ann Dandurand, 87, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Margaret was born on Nov. 13, 1922, in Sioux City, the daughter of George and Mabel (Moe) Hodgson. She graduated from Central High School.
On Nov. 22,1946, she married Ralph M. Dandurand in Sioux City. He died on March 9, 2001.
Margaret was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was an avid reader. She loved nature and enjoyed watching wildlife. She really enjoyed observing people. The most important part of her life was her family. She was an only child and was extremely close to her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Mamura of Sergeant Bluff, and Patty and Carl Hughes of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Marvin of Louisville, Ky., and Larry and Vickie of Gilbert, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in her name at Hospice of Siouxland.
