SIOUX CITY -- Margaret A. Pritchard, 98, of Sioux City died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
Services will be 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Spirit Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis W. Meinen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:45 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Holy Spirit Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Margaret was born Feb. 4, 1912, in Sioux City, the daughter of Walter R. and Elizabeth (Kirby) Pritchard. She graduated from Cathedral High School and Briar Cliff College in 1933. She was a lifelong resident of Sioux City. She was employed at Morningside College for 15 years as an assistant librarian. She was then employed in sales with Wetmore Declamation Bureau for 15 years.
She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Carmelite Guild. She was a big sports fan. She loved to watch Notre Dame University football and pro football.
She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jack, Vincent "Marc" and Willis Pritchard; and four sisters, W. Catherine, Agnella, Jennette and Elwin Pritchard.
Pallbearers will be Ron Sitzmann, Laurence and Robert Neilsen and Marvin Schaffer.
