Margaret Dima Wagner, 80, of Sioux City died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at her daughter's residence.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Morningside Church of Christ, with Gordon Quitt officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Margaret was born May 21, 1927, in Cook County, Ill., the daughter of George and Dorothy (Lawrence) Lambros. She was raised in the Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Omaha area.
She married George M. Wagner on Dec. 13, 1951, in Omaha. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1962. She worked in retail and was employed at several different Woolworth Stores throughout the area. She retired when Woolworth closed in Sioux City. George died Dec. 31, 1978 in Sioux City.
She was a member of Morningside Church of Christ and the ladies circle at the church. She loved to sew, crochet, cooking, baking and reading. She loved reading the Bible. But what she loved most was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for opening her home for all people, especially people involved with the church.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Mikel and Penny Wagner of Grand Island, Neb.; a daughter and her husband, Dima and Norman Gukeisen of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Adam, Amie, Allynda, Melissa, Stephany, and Katelynn Marie; and nine great-grandchildren, Sagelynn, Izack, Nonia, James, Taylor, Keelie, Sydney, Micah and Chet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Pallbearers will be Keith Miller, Roger Anderson, Gary Grieve and Dennis Cooper.
