Margery Jane Ritchey (Beck)

MOVILLE, Iowa -- Margery Jane Ritchey, 88, of Moville died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at her residence.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Frank officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com .
Margery was born April 20, 1920, in Pierson, Iowa, the daughter of William and Anna (Blanche) Beck. She attended school and graduated from Pierson High School.
She married J. "Turner" Ritchey on July 10, 1942, in Elk Point, S.D. Together, they made their home in Moville. She worked as a bookkeeper, retiring from Holmes and Hudson. Turner died in June 1972.
She was a member of the Moville United Methodist Church and was a former member of Order of the Eastern Star, Arlington Chapter.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Mary Jo and Carl Bonafede of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Janice Dee and Mike Swanson of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers, Jean Thompson, Ernest Beck, R.D. "Ogie" Beck and Patricia Brady; and her special companion, Jim Stutzman.
Memorials are preferred to Hospice of Siouxland.
