Marguerite Ann Strom

Marguerite Ann Strom, 79 of Sioux City, Iowa died on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at a local nursing home in Sioux City, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 10th at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes - Morningside Chapel with Fr. Michael Erpelding officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.

Maggie was born April 26, 1943, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Edward and Althea (Wynman) Church. She married Burdette V. Strom on Aug 23, 1961, in Pipestone, MN. The couple had two children, Burdette Jr. and Daniel. Burdette passed away May 12, 2000.
Maggie worked for St. Luke’s Hospital for a few years, and then went to work for Sunrise Nursing Home for 30 plus years while also being the resident manager at the Maple Heights apartments. She later worked for the Head Start program and received the United Head Start Award. Maggie also was a senior companion for several years. She also received a lifetime achievement award.
Surviving are son, Daniel L. Strom, sister, Mary Church. Brother in-laws; Pete (Suzanne) Strom, Rich (Rita) Strom, Kevin (Kathy) Strom, Orland Strom, and Kermit Strom all of Sioux City, sister in-law; LaVonne Tuesink of Sioux City, numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend Marilyn Farr of Sioux City.
She was predeceased by son, Burdette Strom, Jr., brothers, David Church and John Church, sister, Margo Jones.
