SIOUX CITY -- Marie Rose Falk, 99, of Sioux City died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Lutheran Church, with Pastor James Travis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to

Mrs. Falk was born Aug. 1, 1910, the daughter of Valentine and Ellen (Dunn) Plendl near Kingsley, Iowa. She graduated from Kingsley High School.
She married Frank Junck in 1928. They had two children, Geraldine (Junck) Jackson and Roland Junck. Frank died in 1934. She later married Ernest Falk in 1935. They had two children, Norman Falk and Karen (Falk) Swanson. Ernest Falk died in 1993.
Mrs. Falk was a longtime member of Calvary Lutheran Church and was very active in church functions for many years.
Survivors are a son, Roland Junck and his wife, Carol of Sioux City and Ft. Myers, Fla.; a daughter, Karen Swanson and her husband, James of Sioux City; nine grandchildren, Cathy (Junck) and Bob Bradham of Arnolds Park, Iowa, Louanne (Junck) and Bill Cownie of Lees Summit, Mo., the Rev. Bruce and Patti Jackson of Lawton, Iowa, Lisa (Jackson) and Brian Luttrell of Birmingham, Ala., Toni (Falk) and Dr. Bradley Van Voorhis of Iowa City, Iowa, Scott and Wendy Falk of Wauwatosa, Wis., Susan Swanson of Middleton, Wis., Julie (Swanson) and Eric Justian of Muskegon, Mich., and Douglas Swanson of Iowa City; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Madonna Shock of Bellevue, Neb.; and sisters-in-law, Cecelia Plendl of Sioux City, and Rita Plendl of Kingsley, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a daughter, Geraldine (Junck) Jackson; a son, Norman Falk; a granddaughter, Linda Jackson; five brothers; two sisters; a daughter-in-law, Karen (Roeper) Falk; and a son-in-law, William "Bill" Jackson.
The family suggests memorials to Calvary Lutheran Church.
