Sioux City - Marilyn Anthony, 65, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Touchstone Living Center.
Memorial Services will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, at Mayflower Congregational. Arrangements are under direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy Smith Funeral Home.
Marilyn was born on May 3, 1947 in Sioux City, to Robert and Verona Wallen. She was united in marriage to Robert Anthony on Sept. 21, 1973 in Sioux City. After their honeymoon they developed a love for traveling and had visited almost every state.
Marilyn worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses in Siouxland as well as at Gateway. She had also worked as a social worker with Siouxland Community Action Agency, as well as Opportunities Unlimited and was a very caring person with lots of love to give. Marilyn also loved to do puzzles and reading, her favorite author was Mark Twain. She also enjoyed camping in Yankton.
Those left to honor her memory include; her husband, Robert of Sioux City; son, Eric Anthony (Susan Johnston) of Sioux City; daughter, Melissa Anthony of Centenial, Colo.; sisters, Diana Frerichs (Ray) Kingsley, Iowa, and Gale Ryan, of Sioux City; her mother, Verona of Sioux City, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert Wallen.
