Marilyn F. Hoffman, 87, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at a Sioux City nursing home.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Merrill Mueller of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to

Mrs. Hoffman was born July 9, 1929, in Sioux City, to Harry and Frances (Holiday) Eshelman Sr. She attended River View School in Sioux City. She remained in the Siouxland area all of her life. She worked at the Warrior Hotel and American Produce, both in Sioux City.
She married Robert "Bob" Hoffman on Jan. 5, 1947, at Riverside Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
She enjoyed playing the keyboard, music, family and friends. She enjoyed dancing at social gatherings.
Survivors include her husband of Sioux City; three children, Betty Hoffman, Tom Hoffman and Jean Hoffman, all of Sioux City; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Randy Baker of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Susan Baker; a sister; and four brothers.
