Marion L. Krueger, 74, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, S.D. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Marion was born on July 27, 1942, in Herrick, S.D., to Orville and Helen (Hoy) Hysell. She was united in marriage to Larry D. Krueger on Sept. 4, 1960, in Fairfax. The couple lived in Rapid City, S.D., and later Kimball, Neb., until moving to Sioux City in 1966. Marion worked for Hy-Vee, Home Instead Senior Care, H & R Block, Peterson Heating and Air, and Computer Depot.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the Quilting Club at church. She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, her Pomeranian puppies and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Alan Krueger of Sioux City, and Kelly (Karen) Krueger of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Samantha and Christian Krueger, both of Sioux City; brother, Tom Hysell of Grand Junction, Colo.; and a sister, Pam Hysell of Yankton, S.D.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter; four brothers; and three sisters.
