Marjorie May Nichols (Neubaum)

SIOUX CITY -- Marjorie May Harkins-Nichols, 79, Everton, Mo., formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in Everton.
Graveside services will be noon Friday in Westfork Township Cemetery, Climbing Hill, Iowa. The Rev. Tess Panamarow will officiate. Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City.
Marjorie was born on Sept. 30,1932, in Soldier, Iowa, the daughter of August C. and Ruth (Wulf) Neubaum. She was raised in the Ricketts and Moville, Iowa, area and graduated from Moville High School in 1951.
She married Robert Harkins in April 1954. She then moved to Sioux City, where she worked at Aalf's Manufacturing, Toy National Bank and for Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. She moved to Springfield, Mo., in 2001 to live with her daughter.
She was former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Sioux City Eagle's Club. Marjorie loved watching her soaps, liked to dance and enjoyed watching people. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Manes of Springfield, Mo., Debbie and Roger Parmeter of Kirbyville, Mo., Robin and Scott Simmons of Pasadena, Md., and Dana and Shawn Rogers of Everton; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Robert and Monica Wilke and their children, Robby and Fina, Elaine and Jim Bass and their daughter, Kaylee, Jason Kemp and his son, Roan, Melissa and Jeff Bihlman and their daughter, Emma, Ashley Simmons and Howard Ethan Rogers; and a brother, Douglas Neubaum of Quimby, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rita; and her former husbands, Robert Harkins, who died in 2000, and Paul Nichols.
