SIOUX CITY -- Mark Arthur Lindgren, 57, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at his residence.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Russell Senstad officiating. Burial will be in Kingsley Cemetery at Kingsley, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to

Mark was born Nov. 6, 1951, at Kingsley, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Ardith (Hobbs) Lindgren. He was raised near Kingsley and graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School. He married Laura Rhinehart on Sept. 22, 1973, in Sioux City. Together they made their home near Kingsley, where he farmed in the area. He also worked for IBP as a service coordinator for BPX, the trucking division. Mark and Laura moved to Sioux City in 1985.
He was a member of Kingsley Community Action Club. Besides his family and friends, Mark's greatest love was farming.
Survivors include his wife, Laura of Sioux City; a son, Brett Lindgren of Ankeny, Iowa; a daughter, Becky and Matt Coad of Hornick, Iowa; a grandson, Jayce Coad of Hornick; a sister, Marsha and Mike Harman of Kingsley; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
