Mary Lorraine Peck, 85, of Sioux City died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at a Sioux City nursing home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Craig Collison officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mary was born June 7, 1921, in Pierson, Wis., the daughter of William H. and Alphosine Philomine (Limoges) Cue. She came to Sioux City as a child. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Central High School.
She married Donald Edward Peck on June 15, 1943, in Dakota City, Neb. As a young woman, she worked for the National Youth Association and as a nurse’s aid at St. Joseph Hospital.
She was a member of the Catholic faith. She loved raising flowers and was a former member of the American Iris Association. She liked fishing, crafts and loved her dogs. The couple enjoyed walking at the mall.
Survivors include her husband, Donald E. Peck of Sioux City; a daughter, Phyllis (Regie) Shaw of North Sioux City; five grandchildren, Donald Shaw, Dennis Shaw, Edward Robert Fuller, Niki Peck and Max Lacugnato; several great-grandchildren; and a former daughter-in-law, Delores (Peck) Owneby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Danny Peck; and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Don Shaw, Dennis Shaw, Max Lacugnato and Bruce Stroman.
