Mary Pearl Triplett, 67, of Sioux City died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in Sioux City.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Floyd E. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to

Mary was born Feb. 3, 1941, in Alabama, the daughter of Willie and Rose (Black) Clay. She attended school in Alabama before moving to Sioux City as a young lady.
She met James Triplett in 1971, in Sioux City. They were married on Jan. 1, 1980. She had worked for the Sioux City School Food Service.
She attended Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Triplett of Sioux City; a daughter, RoseMary Payne of Maryland; three grandchildren, LaQuayla Payne, Kyrell Payne and Delantri Donely; two brothers, William Clay of Chicago, Ill., and Leonard Clay and his wife, Patricia of Washington, D.C.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
