Mary Lou Wilson, 78 of Lawton, Iowa died on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, surrounded by her family.
In accordance with her wishes a private family graveside service will be held at Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, IA.

Mary Lou was born July 21, 1944, to Art and Ruby (Plumer) Wilson in Sioux City. She grew up on the family farm near Lawton. Mary Lou attended Lawton Public Schools and graduated from Lawton High School. She married Al Aspleaf on July 3, 1964. The couple had 4 children: Jody, Troy, Dean and Tena. They later divorced. Mary Lou married Jim Anderson on July 17, 1992; they divorced in 2018. During her lifetime she worked for the Palmer House, The Grill in Spirit Lake, JoAnn Fabrics and Aalfs Manufacturing. She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton. Her hobbies included Country dancing, sewing, spending time in Okoboji and with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Jody Wilson of Sioux Falls, SD., son Troy (Montina) Aspleaf of Lawton, son, Dean (Angel) Aspleaf of Kendallville, IN and daughter Tena (Jason) Welch of Elk Point, SD, six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, a sister Joan Brink of Arvada, CO, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Art and Ruby Wilson, sister Jean Edwards.
