Sioux City - Matthew Dean Cline, 46, of Sioux City died at his home on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, surrounded by his family and friends
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Wolff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Matt was born on Aug. 31, 1966, in Sioux City. He is the son of Norman and Patricia (Peterson) Cline. He was raised in Sioux City and did his schooling here. After high school he went to work for John Morrell, Siouxland Residential and had been most recently working for St. Luke’s Behavioral Services. He retired due to poor health.
Matt was a member of the Lutheran faith. He was an avid Vikings fan. He loved animals, especially his fish, cat and dogs. The most important part of Matt’s life was spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents, Norman and Patricia of Sioux City; his brother and his wife, Mark and Kendra of Cambridge, Minn.; his sister, Mindy Cline of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his grandmother, Viola Cline of Sioux City; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Melissa, Shaylee, Amara, Madison, Mason, Brooke, Dylan and Sydney; five great nieces and nephews; and Norton and Trixie. His is also survived by his many special friends who helped him in his time of need.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence Cline, Pearl and Ray Geveshausen and Harold Peterson.
